Wings Over Illawarra, Australia's largest annual airshow, has entered into a partnership with Fly Corporate Australia which sees the up and coming regional carrier installed as a supporting partner for 2019.
Wings Over Illawarra welcomes more than 33,000 visitors across the show weekend, and Fly Corporate's regular daily services from Wollongong to Melbourne and Brisbane have now become a key economic contributor to the region – all factors which make this partnership ideal.
Mr Andrew Major, CEO of Fly Corporate, said he was very pleased to enter into an agreement with Wings Over Illawarra after announcing Wollongong (Illawarra Regional Airport) as the newest addition to Fly Corporate’s regional network. He noted that the service provided will not only facilitate direct travel to and from Melbourne and Brisbane, but also provide a convenient and cost-effective alternative to Sydney for people wanting to connect to other domestic and international destinations. The flights also provide a viable and practical regional service for the population centres surrounding the Illawarra along with personnel working in business related services throughout the region.
Fly Corporate joins a community of likeminded, key supporters of this iconic event, ensuring it's viability for 2019 and beyond, and will operate its normal weekend schedule across the event weekend.
Bright Events Director, Mark Bright said, “We are thrilled to have Fly Corporate Australia on board with us for this year's event. Having Fly Corporate's regular services to the Illawarra Regional Airport gives patrons from Melbourne and Brisbane easy, convenient and affordable access, and provides a great synergy for our two businesses.”
Wings Over Illawarra will take place at the Illawarra Regional Airport, Albion Park Rail, NSW, on May 4th and 5th. More information on the event can be found at www.wingsoverillawarra.com.au
